Cook time: 8-10 minutes
Total time: 40 minutes
Yield: 30 cookies
230 g butter
120 g brown sugar (1 ½ dl)
170 g caster sugar (1 1/4 dl)
330 g plain flour (5 ½ dl)
7 g baking soda (1 ½ tsp)
2 g of salt (¼ tsp)
50 g dark chocolate chip
50 g M&Ms
Garnish 100 g dark chocolate (optional)
Preheat oven to 175 °C or 350 degrees F.
Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar fluffy in a bowl. Mix in the egg, the dry ingredients and work into a dough and add the chocolate chip and M&Ms and work it into the dough. If the dough feels sticky then leave it in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
Divide the dough into 30 pieces, roll the pieces into balls and place them thinly on baking sheet with parchment paper. Flatten the balls slightly and bake them in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Let cookies cool slightly and then move them over to a rack to cool completely.
- The temperature of your ingredients is very important in baking. Let the ingredients stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking the cookies.
- Sometimes I add chopped walnuts or pecans or dried fruits!
- Add your favorite chocolate instead: snickers, bounty, mars, marabou, daim or cadbury chocolate.
- Sometimes I garnish these cookies with milk chocolate and/or white chocolate.
